How to Break-in Your Boots

Breaking-in boots can be uncomfortable or even painful at times, but the end result is a comfort and familiarity unlike anything else. So how do you get to that point where your boots feel like slippers? In this video I give you some of the tips I use to break-in my boots along with some specific strategies to help you with problem areas. Of course, buying the correct size is the first step in a well fitting boot along with the proper width. After that it boils down to simply stretching and working the leather to mould to your foot and the way it moves. The best way to do this is to simply wear them as much as you can, but not to the point where you're doubled over in pain of course! Red Wing Iron Rangers are notoriously difficult to break-in due to their thick leather and robust build quality, but even these can be tamed if you follow the tips in this video.
